Definitely inspired by Jim Jarmusch's "Coffee and Cigarettes", a wicked and funny compilation of smoking, caffeine...and the occasional tea.
Somewhat based on my addiction to good coffee, so much so that
I judge a town/place by its cafes. And oh...the cakes...they blind me with jealousy. Especially when it's not on my plate
and people don't share.
And finally, perhaps this painting happened because I felt that a tribute
was needed for FBI Agent Dale Cooper's preference for coffee: "Black as midnight on a moonless night."
Poetic.
